    Dave Phillips, Composer and regular contributor to the Linux Journal, has a nice presentation of HighC:

    HighC featured on Electronic Musician

    Say it with pictures, a paper by Dennis Miller, features HighC proeminently among other image-to-sound converters.

    Among others: "[HighC] is unique in its approach to working with image conversion and has a strong heritage from which many interesting compositions have been created."

    A nice read...

    CandyCovered Clown (from Latvia) has some nice words:

    Just started exploring HighC, I am finding it very interesting as a full time musician and occasional drawer of things..
    It seems to have qualities of micro and macro, primitive and complex that are interesting to play around with.

    Might seem a silly question but, what is the best way to export\capture a live visual and sound together?, should probably just look at manual...
    Enjoying the program on quite a small picture level at the moment, nothing too sprawling.
    Would be cool if you could play back the sound and visual from any point you click the cursor on? So you don't have to play from start each time, perhaps this is discussed in other parts of the forum..

    @applebase: there are a variety of video screen capture tools on all platforms.

    Personally, on a mac, I use Monosnap (free), to record the screen, then I export the audio, and perform the edition with iMovie.

    I'm sure a non-free solution would provide more convenience, although a little bit of editing is always needed to achieve satisfying results.
