    Upon purchasing HighC, you should receive an email almost immediately after Paypal has confirmed the payment. Some (3%) have had issues with the registration process. This thread lists all the problems that have been encountered so far and explains how to fix them.

    In all cases, rest assured that a simple email to the HighC's contact address will be answered promptly.

    I haven't received my key by email after having paid

    After having paid on Paypal's website, you must follow the return link and go to the HighC thank-you page: it is only when you display this page that the key is sent!

    If you don't receive an email from HighC moments after having received your Paypal payment notification, then go back in your browser to display the last page you went on paypal's website, and press the button that lets you continue on HighC's website.

    If this doesn't work, don't worry: Paypal notifications are always sent to me. As soon as I'll notice that you have not received your key, I'll send you a valid key. However, since I'm not always behind my computer, it may take a while...

    Also, check your spam mailbox: the email is automatically generated, and some spam filters wil improperly mark it as spam.

    Upon pasting my key in the dialog box, I get an error "invalid machine name"

    Or "you should rename your machine". This means you have entered a wrong machine name.

    You have two choices:
    - rename your machine to the name you have provided at registration time. see this page for more details.
    - send me an email stating the issue. Most of the time I'll arrange to send a new key if need be.

    Upon pasting my registration key, I get an error: "invalid signature", or "there are missing values in the licence key"

    This is because your mail program has inserted a line break in the middle of the signature characters. You need to remove this line break after having pasted the key into the text box.

    An example will make it clearer. A valid registration key looks like this:

    {
    date:String = "10/7/2008"
    id:String = "48"
    machine:String = "MyComputer"
    product:String = HighCpro
    signature:String = QR7EEQTWWRMWTYEZWR6R9TBB5P56B5ZR9ZTEBBBME9ZTYYBMEQYWQQ5BE9XQ79TXZ8BEWR8XBWZ5TYRRP8YRBBP5X85EZ5
    user:String = "me@example.com"
    version:String = "2"
    }

    Sometimes, the long string of random characters will be split in your mailer, like this:

    {
    date:String = "10/7/2008"
    id:String = "48"
    machine:String = "MyComputer"
    product:String = HighCpro
    signature:String = QR7EEQTWWRMWTYEZWR6R9TBB5P56B5ZR9ZTEBBBME
    9ZTYYBMEQYWQQ5BE9XQ79TXZ8BEWR8XBWZ5TYRRP8YRBBP5X85EZ5
    user:String = "me@example.com"
    version:String = "2"
    }

    In this case, after having pasted the key, you must join together the E and the end of the line and the 9 at the beginning of the next line, so that the signature string can be read correctly.
